Robin Hood's Bay

Around 7 miles south from Whitby on the end of the small B1447 [Map] Robin Hood's Bay is situated in a astonish beautiful coastal bay.

Don't forget to wear solid and stable shoes as the way down to the village is extremely steep. Don't worry it has steps and also a small road. You have to leave your car in the signposted car parks, which are free of charge outside the main seasons, as access by car to the bay is restricted.

Please be careful when you walk on the beach and watch out for the incoming tide. It comes in fast and it is extremely dangerous to be on the beach during incoming tide.

By the way, the bay has its name from the saga that Robin Hood used this bay for his activities.

Don't forget to visit some of the beautiful small pubs in the village, but remember don't drink & drive.
